What is Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a health approach which focuses on the relationship between the spine and nerve system and their influence in the restoration and maintenance of health and optimum function.

The goal of chiropractic is to optimize health and function of the body through an optimal functioning spine and nerve system.  Chiropractic does not look to treat the symptoms but to get to the root cause of your problem. Where conventional medicine focuses on the treatment of disease and symptoms, the goal of chiropractic is to get to the root or underlying cause of your problems.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Chiropractors are the specialist in the care of the spine, nerves, muscles and connective tissues that make up about 60% of your body. All of the joints in your body are part of this musculoskeletal system and its optimal function is necessary for overall good health.

Philosophy of Chiropractic

We do that through the detection and correction of vertebral subluxations, which are misalignments of one or more bones in the spine that interfere with the proper communication between the brain and the body. After a thorough analysis has been performed and any subluxations are detected, a chiropractor performs specific adjustments to the spine to restore the spine and nerve system back to normal functioning.

Chiropractors understand that the body has an innate ability to heal itself.  The body's natural state is health, vitality, and optimum function. The system that controls all of the healing in the body is the nerve system. The most important way for the body to express health, vitality, and function is through an optimum functioning spine and nerve system.  When the structure of the spine is healthy, our nerve system is healthy.
